Yelp’s Passport to Cherokee

Yelp recently asked it’s online community of Yelpers to choose a neighborhood with great businesses that they would most like to explore….and they chose Cherokee Street.  Yelp has put together a week long promotion called Passport to Cherokee Street that will mobilize yelpers from all over the city to discover  and celebrate businesses on Cherokee Street.

Beginning with an elite-only kickoff party on the 27th, Yelp has worked with Cherokee businesses to offer events throughout the entire week.  If you are interested in attending any of these Yelp events, you will need to register on Yelp with a real name and photo- if you aren’t already.  All events also require you to  RSVP and all events all limited space available. Go to each event page for specific event information.

On Tuesday, August 28, Siete Luminarias will be hosting a Taco Tuesday event.    This event will be open to anyone with a real name and photo on Yelp.  Yelp will be providing pre-made margaritas and wine.

On Wednesday, August 29, Scarlett Garnet will be hosting a Girl’s Night Out  .  This event is open to any lady yelpers with a real name and photo.   As part of Yelp’s Passport to Cherokee Street, 15 Yelper’s will get to visit Scarlett Garnet for a little creative action (as well as some  snacks and drinks.) Bring an old piece of jewelry with you and Katie Miller will help you turn it into a necklace!

On Thursday, August 30 The Mud House  will be hosting a Latte Art Class. Casey Miller will be teaching Yelper’s how to do latte art, while snacking on some delicious Mud House baked goods.

The final event for Yelp’s Passport to Cherokee will be a Wrap Party at StL Style House.  Yelp will be raffling off a custom t-shirt every 15 minutes,  I Scream Cakes will be donating small tastes of their best stuff and there will be live music, burritos and cocktails.

All events are open to Yelpers with a real name and picture on their profile.  Some events are 21+, so check each event page for specific event information.
