-The Archive Used Bookstore opened in December 2009. Originally located on Cherokee Street, The Archive moved to Jefferson Avenue in June of 2012. Some highlights of the store include hosting Bruce Cockburn for a backyard concert, hosting readings from authors like Sandor Katz and Kenneth Irby, and helping Artica fund-raise.

-Located at 2903 S. Jefferson Avenue, The Archive is open Wednesday-Sunday 1pm – 6 pm.

-The Archive is owned by Amber Dover, Tom Freeman, and Steven Hoffmann. Contact: info@archivescribe.com

Says Hoffmann: “We had a rewarding four years, and hopefully, we made an impression on the literary community. We treasured every book that came across our desk, and we are grateful to our loyal regular customers who kept us going. Now we’re joining The Immortals—Amitin’s, A Collector’s Bookshop, Pudd’nhead, Library, Ltd., and all the rest of the bookstores of times remembered.”

Adds Dover: “Keep reading, Saint Louis.”
