Fires in Benton Park: Update

On Tuesday Night, the Fire Department was called to 3427 Wisconsin, it has been confirmed that the incident is not related to the  recent fires in the area.   On Saturday, the Fire Department was called to 1904 Withnell, where a fire has been confirmed to of taken take place.

This is just a reminder to please report to the police if you see something suspicious.

 

A note from Barbara Potts, our Neighborhood Stabilization Officer regarding the fires that have occurred recently:

Hello all and Happy 2013,

You may have heard on the news about the fires, 3 in number, the past 2 days on the 3300 block of Missouri.  Please on your daily outings go out of your way to drive that block and report to the police if you see something suspicious.  Please also report any unsecured vacant buildings to Citizens Service Bureau @ 622-4800 and then also call Alderman Ortmann @ 776-0161, Dena Hibbard @ 657-1359, or me @ 397-1091 to let us know about it so we can follow up and make sure it gets boarded quickly.
