Cherokee featured on A Design Lover’s Guide to Saint Louis

Cherokee was recently featured in Apartment Therapy’s A Design Lover’s Guide to Saint Louis.  The article featured  things and places to see, tour, shop, eat, drink and stay in St. Louis.

“Steeped in history and architecture, but without pretension or high prices, low key and friendly Saint Louis is unexpectedly great for design lovers.  Between its deep German roots (read: lots of beer), and a strong undercurrent of the arts. there is lots to explore in the Brick City.”

Cherokee was featured as one of the top places to tour in St. Louis, alongside Missouri Botanical Garden and Anheuser Busch.  ”Walk down this design-minded street lined with homegrown art galleries, antique shops and Mexican restuarants.  On any given weekend evening, there’s bound to be multiple art openings.”

Firecracker Press, STLStyle and MoModerne were all included in the shop section.  Apartment Therapy has also featured MoModern’s  owners Anna Weiss & Luby Kelly’s home in a previous article.

I’m so glad people are reading it – I love to showcase everything that’s great about Cherokee St. and Saint Louis is general.

We’ve been doing tours of Saint Louis homes for Apartment Therapy for awhile now, so when you have a moment, please check them out – starting with Galen Gondolfi’s Fort Gondo residence, which was our very first tour in the area:

And if you know someone whose house should be featured, or would like us to do a tour of your own house, shoot me an email.

“A refreshing polar opposite of the kind of strip mall corporate retail you will find in the county. There is certainly nothing cookie cutter about Cherokee.”
