Hispanic Working Women – The Art of a Woman

 

Join the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in recognizing the working women in our community who serve as an inspiration for all.

This event will be held on Thursday, August 3rd at the International Photography Hall of Fame Museum in conjunction with the Diego and Frida: A Smile in the Middle of the Way exhibit. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the event starts at 6 pm.

More than 270 leaders from throughout the St. Louis region have participated in the Neighborhood Leadership Academy, learning the skills and building the networks to strengthen and engage neighborhoods. The Academy provides hands-on leadership training that emphasizes community building principles, organizational leadership and management practices, and personal leadership skills.
10 sessions, September 5 through November 14, 2017
Academy sessions are held on select Tuesdays and Saturdays
Each year the NLA brings together a diverse group of current or potential neighborhood leaders who are actively involved in their neighborhoods and represent communities from throughout the St. Louis region. Academy participants may be municipal elected officials, neighborhood association members, community-based organization staff, or resident volunteers.

The Benton Park Neighborhood Association is looking for volunteers for the Blues and Q’s event on June 24th! All volunteers will receive tickets for free drinks as well as complementary tickets for the raffle to be a BBQ judge. Set up is from 1-3 pm (8 to 10 needed), beer and marketing shifts are form 3-6 and 6-9 (3 to 4 needed for each), BBQ officiants from 5-7 (2 needed), and tear down from 7-9.  Don’t miss the chance to be part of inaugural Blues and Barbecue event in Benton Park! Cherokee Street Business Association meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30pm and covers events, updates and information regarding Cherokee Street, Cherokee Station Special Business District and Cherokee Street Development League.  All business owners, residents, property owners, and anyone with an interest in Cherokee Street are welcome and encouraged to attend.

COME, CONTRIBUTE, LEARN, LISTEN about everything happening on the street and surrounding communities. This is one of the many ways to learn about what is happening in the area. The Cherokee-Lemp Special Business District is excited to announce the return of the Cherokee-Lemp History Walk, taking place on April 23rd, 11am to 4pm. History Walk events will take place both inside businesses and out on the sidewalks and available lots of Cherokee Street East of Jefferson Avenue.

As one of St. Louis’ most beautiful and well-preserved historic districts we are looking forward to showcasing Antique Row’s unique legacy and architecture.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)-

GRAPHIC DESIGNER FOR INDIHOP 2017

 IndiHop is a unique event showcasing two of St. Louis’ most eclectic neighborhoods: Cherokee Street and The Grove.

 

What is IndiHop? 50 Participating businesses in both neighborhoods provide samples of 50 different types of locally made brews.  As you travel from venue to venue, enjoy entertainment by an assortment of live musicians, artists and street performers. IndiHop provides shuttles, between each neighborhood. 2017 IndiHop will take place on Saturday, May 20th from 1pm to 7pm.
