With the help of the fine craft painters at The Design Deli, you can splash your favorite musical icon’s mug all over your living room, add patterns to the bedroom, a mural to the den, or just change the color of the kitchen. Jobs typically take just a few days, so you’ll be back to doing whatever it is that you do behind closed doors in no time.

Impressive DIY

Have you heard about the classes at Firecracker Press? Printing enthusiast and graphic designer Eric Woods is hosting a five-week course on the finer points of letterpress in his South Side studio. All experience levels are welcome, so beginner-level craftsmen won’t be out of place while mixing inks by hand, learning the basics of hand-setting type and choosing paper. Classes start in January but space is limited and you must enroll by Dec. 15, so skip the fine print and sign right up.
