Arch Reactor Hackerspace Invites you to our Grand Opening!

We’ve been hard at work whipping our new space into shape and now we want everyone to come see it!

Are you a self-described ‘techie’ that is looking for your niche? Arch Reactor, St. Louis’ first Hackerspace is a co-op workshop and club for techies, tinkers and free thinkers. Part arts and technology clubhouse, part training ground for new skills and knowledge, Arch Reactor is a place for St. Louis residents to share and receive educational information and training on various topics and skills with access to the tools you otherwise couldn’t afford on your own. St. Louis ArtWorks is looking for teaching artists for their Summer 2010 Programs.

We are currently accepting Letters of Interest from both individual artists and arts teaching organizations.

Teaching artists work in teams of two to instruct a group of 15-18 at-risk youth in an artistic discipline. This year we are seeking letters from individual artists or arts teaching organizations who can provide instruction in the following artistic disciplines:
•    Painting, Drawing, & Printmaking
•    Sculpture
•    Ceramics
The summer program runs from June 14 – July 23. Teaching teams will  need to be available Mondays – Fridays 9:30 am – 4:00 pm during this six-week period.

Community Yoga @ CAMP ….. beginning Monday!

Flyer1.13.10

Join us Monday 1/18, in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s 81st Birthday

All proceeds from this class will be contributed to Haitian Relief funds

Freshly returned from a few weeks escapade to Austin, I’m still buzzing with refreshment from the successful community projects I encountered there at every turn — budding theatre companies, highly functional Yellow Bike outposts, and mostly — so many donation-based yoga studios!   Here CAMP goes offering the same – Pioneered by neighborhood yoga teacher Eleanor Balson,  community yoga will be offered every Monday and Wednesday morning at 10am. Eleanor deftly leads you in to your own breath and your own stretch with fine-tuning that an experienced yogi will appreciate and a welcome that makes a beginner feel perfectly at home.
